Regular Appointments

After you get your braces put on, we’ll need to see you at regular intervals 3 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment, which typically takes 20 to 40 minutes. The appointments to put your braces on and to remove your braces take a bit longer, typically between 60 and 90 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only, although we will ALWAYS accommodate orthodontic emergencies.

We understand everyone has hectic schedules and as a result we will do our best to make ourselves available before and after school and work hours for as many patients as possible (please see our office hours listed on our website). After your braces are removed, we will need to see you for several follow-up retention visits (usually months apart) to monitor the new positions of your teeth and make sure your retainers are still fitting properly.

We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, kindly give us at least 24 hours notice. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule appointments since most are made 4 to 8 weeks in advance.

Payment & Insurance Policies

Fees
The fees for treatment depend on the severity of the patient's problem(s). You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have a variety of payment plans available to suit your needs. We accept most major credit cards and we will offer a fee discount if payment is made in full at the onset of treatment. We offer discounts for treating multiple members of your immediate family. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans and we will file the necessary papers to the insurance company on your behalf. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable for you.

Insurance
If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay (see above). Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
